Didn’t really do much over the weekend. You can call me lame if you want, but I’m not really the type who parties. Nor are my friends, and that’s probably why we love each other so much. Anyway…the past weekend was movie weekend. Saturday was Juno day.

Who else loves it? I want to marry it and have its baby. And call it JJ, short for Juno Junior. Ya like?! My friend Lai (shoutout!) was afraid that all her gushing would overrate it for me, but it totally didn’t. My sister and I still can’t stop talking about it. As soon as we got on our computers today, we headed to its imdb page to read the quotes and started sending IMs to each other with our favorite ones (because we’re dorks). I was already a big fan of Michael Cera’s prior to this movie, so it’s safe to say that I absolutely adored him!! But Ellen Page totally took me off guard. I had only seen her in X3 before, so I wasn’t prepared for the adorableness. The movie was beautifully written and her delivery of the lines was fantastic. No wonder she got an Oscar nod. Oh, and everytime I see Rainn Wilson make a cameo in any movie, it makes me giggle. I will always see him as Dwight Schrute. So if you haven’t seen the movie, you’re missing a lot. Go see it now! (I like pimping stuff here, apparently)

Sunday was Jumper day.

The movie itself was alright for me. It was a bit anti-climactic. I guess they’re going to make a sequel? Of course the effects were great, especially that Jamie Bell part where he was running towards Samuel L. Jackson, ready to punch his lights out. And damn it, I was not prepared for how hot Hayden Christensen would get after Star Wars (because that’s his last movie that I actually saw). And yeah, his acting skills improved somewhat…his loving gaze at Rachel Bilson while they were in the coliseum is what stuck with me. And AnnaSophia Robb is like a mini Keira Knightley so I’ve loved her since Terabithia (freaked me out in Wonka, though) and her small role in this film made me happy. But that’s about it. It lacked a lot of explanations, there were some inconsistencies…but I guess if they’re planning on a sequel, they still have time for all that. All in all, go see this movie if you’re into eye candy (hot people, beautiful sceneries, awesome effects). Otherwise, get the DVD or wait for it on HBO.

Also, while waiting to watch Jumper, I bought the Disturbia DVD because that movie is LOVE! I’m in the middle of rewatching it with the commentary and it’s hilarious. Shia and the director are funny people. Sarah Roemer…not so much. She sounds like a stuck up diva. There are a lot of extras on the DVD but I was disappointed with the outtakes cos there were only a few scenes.

Other than that…my weekend was pretty uneventful. How was yours?!
