While going through my referrers list, I happened on this link…and I just think it’s the coolest thing ever! Haha! Google is awesome.

Since I don’t speak Spanish, I don’t know how faithful the translations are. But I do speak Filipino, and this version cracks me up so bad!

Here are a few things that happened this week:

  1. Lala arrived from Melbourne.
  2. We celebrated my cousin’s 18th birthday and I got to play with my nephews and neices.
  3. On the same night, Migz went home with us. He’s staying with us until after Christmas. *dances*
  4. After the office blessing and Christmas party last Friday (which I refuse to talk about because it only upsets me), I went to Makati to meet my friends.
  5. Lala got bangs!! And Charmie has braces!! And Yoe had a date!!!
  6. Domeng really loved my gift.
  7. Madz gave me Audrey Hepburn stuff (a calendar and postcards)!
  8. Lai gave me a red pouch and now I know where to put my make up brushes.
  9. I went with Lai and Nath to Lai’s place and slept over. She has the sweetest family ever! And her house is so pretty.
  10. Wow! I fit into her clothes, though they were a little more snug on me than on her. And she gave me a pair of slippers that were never worn because they’re much too small for her. 😀
  11. Woke up early on Saturday because I was in a different house and was also too excited for #12…
  12. Would you look at that, I GOT A TATTOO!:

I’ve wanted to get one since I was still in high school, but I was sure that my parents wouldn’t let me. And I didn’t have any money then. But now I do and I’m old enough…so Madz (click if you want to see her tat) and I got ‘devirginized’ together. She had one on the back of her neck of the French word for truth ‘Vérité’. Mine has a three-fold explanation, but I’ll just give the first one here:

“Prophet!” said I, “thing of evil – prophet still, if bird or devil!
By that Heaven that bends above us – by that God we both adore –
Tell this soul with sorrow laden if, within the distant Aidenn,
It shall clasp a sainted maiden whom the angels name Lenore –
Clasp a rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore.”
Quoth the Raven, “Nevermore.”

The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe
(Click the link to read the whole poem)

I absolutely love that poem. It’s my second favorite by EA Poe (first one is Alone).

I’m really happy with how mine turned out. The artist was really good. He had to draw it freehand with a pen on my ankle and I really didn’t think it would turn out so great.

Lai took some videos of it. If you wanna’ watch it, just click.

Name: Lalabelles
Age: 21 but looks older, depending on what country you’re in
Height: Taller than me, for sure
Weight: To be determined
Last seen: Melbourne, Australia

Seriously though…her flight should’ve come in last Monday. I’m sure it landed safely (I refuse to think otherwise), so it’s safe to assume that she’s here in Manila now. But she hasn’t contacted any of us, not even Lai (her best friend) or me (the other mother of her daughter April LULZ). We’re supposedly having dinner on Friday, but she’s still MIA, so…

EDIT: At 5:42 this afternoon, said missing girl had been found by one of my partners in the search.

Or maybe she found us. She texted then called Madz that she’s here already. Apparently, she only THOUGHT that she was arriving on the 15th. They stopped over at Kuala Lumpur and stayed there overnight. She just arrived today.

So the panic that we were all feeling (‘she doesn’t like us anymore cos we don’t have accents and she’s hiding from us!!’ LULZ) were all for naught. Pfft. She had better brought us home some kangaroos and koalas!

Why the hell can’t I access DeviantArt?! I haven’t been able to log in for over 2 weeks now. Pfft! I probably have a million devwatch alerts by now.

Am I the only one who can’t access dA?

Last night I was watching Ellen and she showed the most adorable pictures I have ever seen. They were of a two-year-old chimp named Anjana who’s been helping a keeper at The Institute of Greatly Endangered and Rare Species (TIGERS) take care of two white tiger cubs.

‘Mitra and Shiva, were born during Hurricane Hannah,’ said Dr Bhagavan, founder of TIGERS.   “During that time everything flooded in the sanctuary and they had to be moved into the house as their mother became stressed.

‘It was important for their safety that they were separated.’

Placed into the care of infant animal care giver China and her chimpanzee companion, Anjana, the cubs have become almost inseparable from their new motherly figures.

Dr Bhagavan added: ‘China’s role means that she is care giver to hundreds of animals when they are born. Anjana has been with China, side by side, ever since she was born and has joined her in caring and raising baby animals.

‘So she helped her and acted as a surrogate mother to these animals and she has done these same with these baby white tigers. She gives them a bottle, lies with them and acts as a surrogate mother. She has a close contact and bond and gives them a nurturing.’

China has looked after Anjana the female chimpanzee since she was born, and they have been inseparable ever since.

This has also resulted in Anjana copying China’s caring behaviour.

‘She has raised leopards, lions, orangutans,’ said Dr Bhagavan. ‘Monkey see as monkey do, and she has taken on this copycat personality and helps China raise the animals.

‘She has just finished raising four lions and they were inseparable. She is a great assistant.’

The Institute of Greatly Endangered and Rare Species is a wildlife education organisation, dedicated to promoting global conservation with informative, educational and entertaining interactive programs.

More pictures after the jump.

– I realized that if I put Kristen Stewart’s name as a subject of a blog update, that blog will be my most viewed blog entry ever IN ONE DAY. (It got 83 hits in one day. My most viewed update before that got around 45 hits from February until the present.)

– Look what my sister bought!:

Our desks are somehow not very compatible with our mice (?) so we really needed mouse pads.

– Mary Louise Parker is one of the most beautiful, weird and beautifully weird actresses I’ve ever seen during interviews/press conferences.

– Our Christmas trees (at home and in the office) are up. I helped decorate the one in our office and I’m a little proud of that. Not enough to post pictures of it here because it’s not that pretty, really (but you get a glimpse of it in the background of the pic up there). The one at home was done by my mom and it’s gorgeous! But again, no pictures because I’m too lazy to take pictures of it.

– I love Christmas time. My aunt’s coming home from Australia tomorrow and will be staying until mid-January, I think. Then Lala is coming home next week too! And I am VERY ecstatic about that. I repeat, I love Christmas!

Totally random, but I’d just like to thank Leia for my 100th comment. LULZ

As you may have noticed, I like pointing out random milestones in my blog’s short life.

This post was originally going to be about these pictures:

To make a long post short, I just love that she’s just so laid back and doesn’t really care about being so ‘Hollywood’. Acting is her job, she doesn’t set out to be anyone’s role model. If she feels like sitting in front of her house and smoking a pipe (and we can only guess what’s in that pipe) with her boyfriend, then she’s going to sit in front of her house and smoke! It’s not her fault that the damn paparazzi are camped out in front of her house.

So that’s basically what I was talking about on my previous post about liking her even more. But then I watched Speak and Into the Wild and wow. Speak just moved me to tears! She was natural and I was able to relate to the story so much. As for Into the Wild…well, before I even knew that she was in the movie, I wanted to watch it. Then, about 3 quarters into the movie, this just blew my mind:

She sings (a song she co-wrote in real life) solo before this scene, but I can’t find a decent clip of that. I already knew that she was a hippie singer in this movie before watching it, but watching it and hearing it is different. Of course, she’s not Alicia Keys or anything, but she sure as hell can sing! And play the guitar. If Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan can be called ‘singers’, Kristen Stewart deserves Grammy awards!

So yes, this girl owns my heart right now.

Is in her mid-20s. Is a girl. Loves to write. Loves taking pictures. Vents a lot. Finds her days too boring. Finds herself too sheltered. Wants to meet a faerie, for real. Swears a lot. Knows that's bad. Just might have too dirty a mind.
